This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled for all bookings with
Classic Desert Safari. By booking with us, you agree to this Policy.

For fastest changes to your booking, contact us on WhatsApp or phone as soon as possible. Refund eligibility depends on timing and package type.
1) Payment Confirmation
When you book a reservation for a product through the website, Classic Desert Safari collects your payment information and processes your payment. Classic Desert Safari accepts the following credit cards: MasterCard and Visa. There is no charge or service fee for processing credit or debit card payments.
Full payment by credit or debit card is required to make a reservation. Payment will be listed as Classic Desert Safari on the credit or debit card statement.
You will receive booking confirmation within 48 hours by email.
2) Refund Policy
- Service Charges & Taxes are not refundable at all.
- No refunds are available once a tour or service has commenced, or in respect of any package, accommodation, meals or any other services utilized.
- Refunds will be done only through the original mode of payment.
- If you have purchased specific time coupon tickets, event or attractions or accommodation which have no refund and replacement, it will be non-refundable in all circumstances.
- All gift cards and voucher sales are final and non-refundable. This applies to all tours and services including desert safaris, dune buggy, quad biking, and hot air balloon experiences.
3) Non-Group Bookings Cancellation Policy
Canceling a booking with Classic Desert Safari shall result in a 10% cancellation fee. Additional fees may be levied by the individual supplier or tour operator (see your Classic Desert Safari voucher for specific details). When canceling any booking you will be notified via email of the total cancellation fees.
- If you have purchased an event, attraction or coupon ticket, it will be non-refundable in all circumstances.
- In some cases, hotel or accommodation is also non-refundable but depends on the bookings policy which is mentioned on the voucher.
Time-Bound Cancellation Fees:
96+ Hours Before
Cancel at least 96 hours in advance of the scheduled departure.
✅ No cancellation fee
72+ Hours Before
Cancel at least 72 hours in advance of the scheduled departure.
⚠️ 50% cancellation fee
Under 24 Hours
Cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure.
❌ 100% cancellation fee
The refund will be completed within a maximum of 30 days from the transaction date.
4) Group Bookings (4 or More Pax in a Single Booking)
Group bookings have a separate cancellation schedule due to larger resource allocation and advance planning requirements.
7+ Days Prior to Departure
Cancel at least 7 days before the tour departure date.

5 Days or Less
Cancel 5 days or less before the tour departure date.
❌ 100% cancellation fee
The refund will be completed within a maximum of 30 days.
5) Hot Air Balloon Cancellation & Rescheduling
Hot air balloon flights require advance scheduling, aviation permits, and limited capacity. Because flight slots are reserved in advance, balloon bookings have stricter cancellation rules.
Cancellation / Rescheduling
If you wish to cancel or reschedule your balloon flight, you must provide at least 48 hours' notice before the scheduled flight time. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of payment.
✅ 48+ hours: Full refund or reschedule
Late Cancellation / No-Show
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled flight time, or no-shows, will forfeit the full payment.
❌ Under 48 hours: No refund
Additional Balloon Booking Rules:
- If Classic Desert Safari cancels the flight due to weather or safety concerns, you will be entitled to a full refund or the option to reschedule.
- Refunds will be done only through the original mode of payment.
- All bookings must be completed by 3:00 PM on the day prior to the scheduled flight. No new reservations will be accepted after this time.
- All passengers must provide a valid passport number (tourists) or Emirates ID number (UAE residents) no later than 3:00 PM on the day before the flight. Passengers who fail to submit this information will not be allowed to fly, and no refund will be issued.
Hot air balloon flights are weather-dependent. The pilot has the final decision on whether to proceed with the flight. If cancelled due to weather, you will be offered an alternative date or full refund.
6) Weather & Force Majeure
Some experiences depend on weather and safety conditions (especially balloon flights). If we cancel due to unsafe conditions,
you may be offered rescheduling or a refund (depending on the service and provider rules).
- Balloon: may be cancelled due to wind, visibility, or aviation restrictions.
- Safari/ATV: may be adjusted or delayed due to safety, road access, or government advisories.
Force majeure includes events outside our control (e.g., extreme weather, government restrictions, emergencies).
7) Late Arrival & No-Show Policy
- Late pickup readiness: be ready 10–15 minutes early; drivers follow scheduled routing.
- No-show: if you are not reachable or not present at pickup/start time, the booking may be marked as a no-show and non-refundable.
- Reduced duration: late arrival may reduce activity duration (e.g., buggy/quad) without refund.
